11 Days - Best Of Greece
Walk in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul as you discover the breathtaking beauty and ancient history of Greece. Enjoy a 3-night cruise of the magical Greek islands of Mykonos, Patmos, and Santorini. Visit the ancient Roman city of Ephesus, Turkey. Explore the Acropolis in Athens. Discover the biblical town of Corinth and see the Agora and the Bema, where Paul was brought before the tribunal. Stop in Philippi, where Paul delivered his first sermon in Europe and baptized Lydia, the first Christian. On your journey, the New Testament will come to life as you see firsthand where the early church began. This is an 11-day life-changing tour.


ITINERARY
Each day you will be on location in the very spots that you read in your Bible. As you take in the sights (and sites), sounds, smells, and sensations, these places will forever be embedded in your soul.

DAY 1
Depart Los Angeles and prepare to enjoy the trip of a lifetime! You will be met and greeted at the Tel Aviv airport by an official representative to escort your group to your tour bus and meet your guide that will be with you for the duration of your time in the Holy Land.

DAY 2
Arrive in Thessaloniki. This is the city to which Paul wrote 1 and 2 Thessalonians. At the time of the Roman Empire, about 50 AD, Thessaloniki was also one of the early centers of Christianity; while on his second missionary journey, Paul visited this city's chief synagogue on three occasions to proclaim the Gospel and begin their first church.

DAY 3
Today you visit Philippi where Paul baptized a prominent business woman named Lydia, the first convert to Christianity in Europe. He also shared Jesus with a slave girl possessed by demons and a jailer. These new followers of Jesus are the start of the church in Philippi. Visit the Roman Forum and the jail where Paul and Silas were they surprised everyone by singing praises to God.

DAY 4
Visit the triumphal Arch of Galerius found at the start of Via Egnatia. The "Roman Road" or the Via Egnatia was the main road constructed by the Romans in the 2nd century BC used by Paul and the disciples to spread the Gospel to Europe and build the church.

DAY 5
This morning visit the Meteora Monasteries monks were forced to move their settlements higher upon the rocks until they were unreachable by any opposing enemy. These settlements became Monasteries by bringing building and lifting materials by ladders and baskets. View stunning Byzantine art, as well as the breathtaking scenery that surrounds the monastery.

DAY 6
Today visit Delphi, the center of the ancient world (navel) of the earth. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Continue to Athens where Paul preached at Mars Hill the powerful “to an unknown God” sermon introducing them to Jesus. Athens is one of the most glorious cities in the world and the cradle of western civilization as we know it today.

DAY 7
Tour one of the oldest cities in the world, Athens! At the Acropolis, you will see the ruins of the Parthenon, Erectheum, and Propylene. View the ancient Agora, the former public center of Athenian life. Visit Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern-era Olympics (1896). Walk the streets of Corinth where Paul lived for two years sharing the Gospel.

DAY 8
Board your cruise at the Piraeus port. Visit Mykonos, the most cosmopolitan of the Greek islands that attracts visitors from all over the world. Enjoy the beautiful beaches, windmills, and island culture surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea.

DAY 9
Wake up in Turkey at the port of Kusadasi where we will transfer to the breath taking ruins of Ephesus. Enjoy a walking tour that will take you through the most magnificent excavations in the world. Continue on to the Island of Patmos, where John was exiled.

DAY 10
This morning awaken and transfer to the largest city on the island of Crete, HeraklionHere is where Paul met the owner/-and captain of the ship and was warned by him of continuing his journey to spread Christianity in Rome. Following this historical visit, embark by ship to the idyllic island of Santorini. Santorini is definitively the most breathtaking island of all of the Greek Islands.

DAY 11
Return home basking in the incredible experience of Greece. Let the memories fuel your faith and the friendships encourage your heart.
