Scarves, Sunshine, and Jesus: The Light of Christ
Jan 26, 2026
One thing I love about Southern California winters is the chaos of outfits. We’ll see one person bundled in a full scarf like it’s Antarctica... and right next to them someone in shorts and flip-flops like January didn’t even RSVP.
Scarves remind me of covering — the way we wrap ourselves when it’s cold, overwhelmed, or uncertain.
Sunshine reminds me of presence — the way warmth returns slowly, then suddenly, lighting everything up.
And both can point us straight to Jesus. ➡️➡️✨
Jesus covers you when you feel exposed.
Jesus warms you when your hope runs cold.
Jesus lights your path when the next step feels unclear.
He is both your scarf and your sunshine — the One who wraps you with protection and shines on you with guidance.
Wherever you feel chilled by worry, disappointment, waiting, or unknowns...
the Light of Christ still rises.
Faith Habit of the Week:
The Light Check
Each morning, step outside for 10 seconds of sunlight — or stand by a window if it’s cloudy.
As the light hits your face, let it remind you:
“Christ warms and guides me today.”
No words required.
Just awareness.
A physical experience tied to a spiritual truth.
God covers you.
God guides you.
And the light is here! 🔆
