Physical Therapy, Bougainvillea, and Resurrection!
Mar 30, 2026
I officially graduated from physical therapy this week—which feels like a moment worth celebrating... mostly because I no longer have to do wrist exercises with tiny weights that somehow feel like lifting a car.
If you’ve ever been in PT, you know the vibe.
“You’re doing great,” they say... while handing you something harder.
And this weekend, I planted bougainvillea on my patio—bright, bold, and full of color... which, if you know me, feels very on brand. I love a plant that refuses to be subtle.
Between rehab and planting, I’ve been living in this quiet rhythm of small progress.
My arm is healing—but slowly. Strength is coming back—but not all at once. Every stretch, every rep, every slightly annoying exercise is doing something... even when I can’t see the full result yet.
And those bougainvillea? Right now they look like potential. Give them a little time—and a lot of sun—and they’ll explode with color.
It made me think about how often God works this way.
Not always instantly.
Not always dramatically.
But steadily. Faithfully. Quietly bringing life where it once felt limited.
Which is exactly what we’re stepping toward this week.
Easter.
Resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate once a year—it’s the foundation we stand on every day. A living hope. Not distant. Not theoretical. Alive and active in us.
This Week’s Faith Habit
Step outside and practice resurrection.
Sometime this week, go outside for 5–10 minutes.
Stand in the sun. Notice something growing—a plant, a tree, even something small pushing through the dirt.
As you look at it, quietly say:
“Jesus, You are making all things new—including me.”
Let it be simple. Let it be still.
This habit forms faith by helping us recognize that resurrection is not just a moment in history—it’s a pattern God is still working out in our lives.
May the God who raises the dead strengthen what feels weak in you.
May His life take root in every place still growing.
And as you step into this Easter week,
may you carry a quiet, steady confidence—
that new life is already on the way.
HAPPY EASTER WEEK!
