A one pedal bike, Pony tails, and Jesus!

Hi there{{ first_name }}!
We are having crazy hot days out here in So Cal right now. Yesterday was one of those days. ☀️
It was one of my best friend’s birthdays, and we decided we were going to celebrate the only way that felt right—by loading up two little foldable electric bikes and heading to the beach. Adventure mode: ON. 💯
We pulled into the parking lot, popped open the trunk, and started unfolding our bikes like two very confident women who knew what we were doing. 🙌
And then... pop. One of the pedals fell clean off. Not loose. Not wobbly. Gone. 🤦♀️
We tried everything. Twisting, pushing, turning it like we suddenly had mechanical engineering degrees. Nothing worked. We looked around for help—surely someone would come to the rescue? Nope. 👎
The guy at the nearby bike shop looked at us like we were interrupting his surf break 🏄♂️ So... we pivoted and rented bikes instead.
We threw our hair up into messy ponytails, laughed at the chaos of it all, and rode down the beach anyway. 🚲
And honestly? It ended up being perfect. 🤩
So often we think the plan has to work exactly how we imagined it.
The bike has to be perfect.
The pedal has to stay on.
The path has to go smoothly.
But sometimes... God lets the pedal fall off.
Not to ruin the day—but to redirect it.
We plan. God establishes. We prepare. God provides.
We think we need our version of the day... but God sees the bigger picture—the joy, the laughter, the unexpected moments that only happen when things don’t go according to plan.
If that pedal hadn’t fallen off, we wouldn’t have laughed as hard. We wouldn’t have told that story. We wouldn’t have experienced the freedom of letting go and just going with it.
And isn’t that how life with God so often works? The thing that feels like an inconvenience...becomes the invitation.
I truly can’t wait to see how God uses this message to encourage women everywhere that His timing is never one moment late.
